Softball moms 4 college are pleased to announce just some of the accomplishments:
Celina Thornton 
10/09-Another North High School Senior 2010 and South Bay Quest 18U catcher, has verballed to Biola University, La Mirada, CA. Way to go Celina, we are all very proud of you!!!
6/09-Being a team player is what best describes Celina. She was always ready to play and to cheer on her Saxon squad. She is one of the original BACK2BACK CIF CHAMPIONS!
Alex Perez
6/09-Our North High School sophomore and Raiders 18G player, hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 12th against La Quinta in the Semi-Finals.
In the championship game she again hit a home run to help North get it's second (in it's history) CIF CHAMPIONSHIP ring. That is awesome, Alex! Best of luck next year!!!
Stephanie Kiesel

11/08-Stephanie a 2009 grad, has signed an early letter of intent to play next year for Providence College and has already been accepted through admissions. Providence is in the Big East Conference
and plays at the Div. 1 level. Stephanie, chose Providence because of it's great academic tradition. She will be majoring in Bio-Chem, and is looking forward to attending medical school after Providence. She currently playing for Firecrackers Gold Ristow and attends Ramona High School. Stephanie plays at catching, 1st base, and 3rd base.

11/08-Our Junior shortstop from North Torrance was invited to the adidas futures softball event the weekend of Aug. 22,08 in St. George, Utah. The event was for the top 100 unsigned high school players in the nation.
Sammy helped North defeat rival Torrance high in the CIF Division V title game.
Way to go Sam-girl...Go SAXONS!
ASHLEE LEON 
A BIG WAY TO GO ...goes out to our 2008 graduate from El Segundo, CA. Ashlee has been accepted to Concordia University and has signed her letter of intent to play softball for the next 4 years. Concordia is a private Christian school in beautiful Irvine CA. She will be a great addition to their team; with her positive attitude and wonderful playing skills. Her anticipated major is Kinesiology/Sports Medicine. We wish you the best of luck! Go Eagles, Again!!!

5/08-Our junior outfielder singled up the middle in the 11th inning of Division V quarterfinals and drove in the winning run (5/22/08) and gave the No. 3 seed North High Saxons a 2-1 victory over visiting Northview, ending North's streak of three consecutive quarterfinal losses. You made us proud, Lexi!

4/08-SGVTribune.com has written an article (4/29/08) on our own Shelby Dopps a Junior at San Dimas High. Saints coach Don Pollard moved second baseman Shelby Dopps into the number two spot in the batting order. Dopps had three sacrifice bunts and a key RBI single to break a scoreless tie in the fifth inning."I wanted to see if we could get her (Dopps) in a position to move some runners," Pollard said. "That paid off..." Great work Shelby!

2009-Look out Simpson here comes another great player. Hayley, with the Raiders 18G (Bruder) team, is very excited about verballing to Simpson University for Fall '09. She will be a great addition and will be greeted with open arms from her sister Valerie, who is currently playing for them.

4/08:Congrats... Hayley on getting Daily Breeze's (4/15/08) "Week's Best Effort" for North High School in Torrance. She threw a two-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 2-0 win over Fullerton in the Woodbridge Tournament semifinals, then threw a three-hitter in a 1-0 loss to Trabuco hills in the finals.

Way to go with getting Daily Breeze newspaper "Weeks Best Effort" acknowledgement for West High School in Torrance. She went 5-for-6 with 3 RBI's including the game-winner in the bottom of the 10th inning as west posted an 8-7 win over Peninsula. Keep up the great job! GO Warriors!

6/07: Double KUDOS! Congratulations to Freshman, Kristin Tanaka! Announced on April 29th, she made the honors of All CCAA 2nd Team this season.Tanaka, who earlier this season made history by being the first Toro ever named the NFCA Player of the Week, boasts an All-CCAA Pitcher of the Week honor to go along with her 9-5 record, 2.41 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 87.0 innings pitched. www.goccaa.org

Ending her junior year at North High in Torrance she again has the record for most home-runs for the 2nd year in a row. Her travel ball season is starting the same way...At the JO Classic in Las Vegas she went 10 for 12 with 3 homeruns/3 doubles/4 singles and a walk.
