Softballmoms4college is pleased to announce just some of the accomplishments of our players:

   Shanise Compton      

3/11: Shanise Compton (Outfielder), North High school senior 2011 has just verbaled to Whittier College, Whittier, CA. Playing for South Bay Quest 18G. Way to go, we are proud of you!!!!

UPDATE:5/10: 2009-2010 WOMEN'S SOFTBALL ALL-SCIAC SELECTIONS-Player of the year. 4/10:Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges SCIAC Honors Female Athlete of the Week:  
April 28, 2010. She finished her first SCIAC season hitting .537 with seven home runs and 43 RBI, all team highs. CMS is 32-6 overall and 21-3 in SCIAC. Way to go Harmony! 

  Amber Garland                         

UPDATE:4/10: The Huskies are a threat in Division VII, especially with senior pitcher Amber Garland returning. Garland is a four-year varsity player who lends valuable experience.

3/10-RHP, 2010 Senior from Rolling Hills Prep High School announces she will be playing for Occidental College, Div III. Currently plays for South Bay Quest 18Gold for Jim Belch.

This will be a great school for a very talented player.

  Julie Lewis             

UPDATE: 4/10:Julie Lewis has made strong contributions at the plate for Agoura High School.

3/10- 2010 Grad, IF, Agoura High School, plays for So Cal Diamonds 18G, going to Colorado State University, CO. Julie will bring her love for the game and her never say die attitude with her to CO. Best of luck!

 Savanah Webster        

3/10-Arbor View High School, Las Vegas, NV. Savanah is a current 2010 senior who has recently verballed to Salt Lake City Community College. She plays outfield and shortstop and will be a great addition to the team. Congratulation!

   Jessica O'Donnell    

3/10-Long Beach Wilson High, Long Beach, CA. Jessica is an infielder and we are proud to advise she has recently verballed to Boise State University. Way to go, Jess!

 Marissa Hiller                   

3/10-Cypress High, CA. Marissa is a 2010 , RHP, has verballed to CSU Bakersfield. She will continue her dreams of playing collegiate ball while pursuring her goal of becoming a psychologist. Great job!

 Katarina Schmitt-Daskalos  

3/10-Dana Hills High School, Dana Point, CA. Katarina is a 2010 Senior and RHP, heading to La Sierra University, CA. Way to go!

 Celina Thornton                  

10/09-Another North High School Senior 2010 and South Bay Quest 18U catcher, has verballed to Biola University, La Mirada, CA.  Way to go Celina, we are all very proud of you!!!

6/09-Being a team player is what best describes Celina. She was always ready to play and to cheer on her Saxon squad. She is one of the original BACK2BACK CIF CHAMPIONS!

UPDATE:11/10- Now playing for USA Athletics, Senior 2011, 1st baseman/IF, has verballed to Pittsburgh State University, KS. We are thrilled for your achievements and look forward to hearing more about your winning future. 6/09-Our North High School sophomore and Raiders 18G player, hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the 12th against La Quinta in the Semi-Finals. In the championship game she again hit a home run to help North get it's second (in it's history) CIF CHAMPIONSHIP ring. That is awesome, Alex!  Best of luck next year!!!

Stephanie Kiesel                   

UPDATE***9/09: Entered Providence. Congratulations and good luck!!!

11/08-Stephanie a 2009 grad, has signed an early letter of intent to play next year for Providence College and has already been accepted through admissions. Providence is in the Big East Conference and plays at the Div. 1 level. Stephanie, chose Providence because of it's great academic tradition. She will be majoring in Bio-Chem, and is looking forward to attending medical school after Providence. She currently playing for Firecrackers Gold Ristow and attends Ramona High School. Stephanie plays at catching, 1st base, and 3rd base.

Sammie Alvillar        

UPDATE*** 8/10: Will be attending University of Texas, El Paso.

6/09: Sammie helped North High earn BACK2BACK CIF rings.

11/08-Our Junior shortstop from North Torrance was invited to the adidas futures softball event the weekend of Aug. 22,08 in St. George, Utah. The event was for the top 100 unsigned high school players in the nation. Sammie helped North defeat rival Torrance high in the CIF Division V title game. Way to go Sam-girl...Go SAXONS!

ASHLEE LEON              

 A BIG WAY TO GO ...goes out to our 2008 graduate from El Segundo, CA. Ashlee has been accepted to Concordia University and has signed her letter of intent to play softball for the next 4 years. Concordia is a private Christian school in beautiful Irvine CA. She will be a great addition to their team; with her positive attitude and wonderful playing skills. Her anticipated major is Kinesiology/Sports Medicine. We wish you the best of luck! Go Eagles, Again!!!

6/09:Helped North get it's second CIF Championship ring. GO SAXONS!!!

5/08-Our junior outfielder singled up the middle in the 11th inning of Division V quarterfinals and drove in the winning run (5/22/08) and gave the No. 3 seed North High Saxons a 2-1 victory over visiting Northview, ending North's streak of three consecutive quarterfinal losses. You made us proud, Lexi!

1ST TIME IN 31 YEARS THAT NORTH HIGH HAS BEEN TO SEMI-FINALS. GOOD LUCK!

Alexis Vernon plays on the Raiders 18 Gold (Bruder) as an outfielder and has recently given her verbal to Concordia University in Irvine, CA for next fall. From a Saxon to an Eagle, who would have guessed. We are proud of you, Lexi!

5/08-Way to Go" to Chelsea Limm for scoring the winning run on a wild pitch in the ninth inning to give Torrance High a victory over Silverado in the second round of the CIF-SS Div. V playoffs (05/20/08).

BIG NEWS for Chelsea...She has committed to Biola in La Mirada, California. She is so happy to have selected a school that will not only fulfill her needs academically but spiritually as well. We are very excited to watch you achieve your goals. Best of luck, Chelsea! Go EAGLES!

4/08-SGVTribune.com has written an article (4/29/08) on our own Shelby Dopps a Junior at San Dimas High. Saints coach Don Pollard moved second baseman Shelby Dopps into the number two spot in the batting order. Dopps had three sacrifice bunts and a key RBI single to break a scoreless tie in the fifth inning."I wanted to see if we could get her (Dopps) in a position to move some runners," Pollard said. "That paid off..." Great work Shelby!

UPDATE***BREAKING NEWS 4/10/10: Hayley Rodriguez threw her first no hitter of her college career. She struck out eight batters against Menlo College.

9/09: Entered Simpon University. Way to do it Hayley!!!

2009-Look out Simpson here comes another great player. Hayley, with the Raiders 18G (Bruder) team, is very excited about verballing to Simpson University for Fall '09. She will be a great addition and will be greeted with open arms from her sister Valerie, who is currently playing for them.

4/08:Congrats... Hayley on getting Daily Breeze's (4/15/08) "Week's Best Effort" for North High School in Torrance. She threw a two-hitter with nine strikeouts in a 2-0 win over Fullerton in the Woodbridge Tournament semifinals, then threw a three-hitter in a 1-0 loss to Trabuco hills in the finals.

11/08-Always wanting to go to SCAD she has made her dreams come true...by verbaling to Savannah College of Art and Design for fall '09. You did your job, Krista. We see bright things in your future.

Way to go with getting Daily Breeze newspaper "Weeks Best Effort" acknowledgement for West High School in Torrance. She went 5-for-6 with 3 RBI's including the game-winner in the bottom of the 10th inning as west posted an 8-7 win over Peninsula. Keep up the great job! GO Warriors!

6/09: Lead North High to their 2nd (won last year, also) CIF CHAMPIONSHIP win against El Segundo High School.

2/08:Congratulations to Olivia Alvarez ‘09! In February ‘08, with the Raiders 18 Gold (Bruder) team, she early verbaled to Division I, Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA and will be part of the winning Lions!

Ending her junior year at North High in Torrance she again has the record for most home-runs for the 2nd year in a row. Her travel ball season is starting the same way...At the JO Classic in Las Vegas she went 10 for 12 with 3 homeruns/3 doubles/4 singles and a walk.

VALERIE RODRIGUEZ 

UPDATE***Breaking news 4/16/10: Sophomore second baseman Valerie Rodriguez (.277, 1 HR, 16 RBI) doing a wonderful job at helping lead the way to Simpson's 1st NAIA National softball championship tournament.

9/09: Second year at Simpson University. Great freshman year-keep it up!!!

12/07:Congratulations to '08 Valerie Rodriguez! She purchased a skills video and exposure package in October '07 and signed with Simpson University in December '07.

UPDATE***9/10: Red shirting Junior year due to being accepted into the nursing program. Great job and congrats! 4/16/10: Sophomore Paige Gomez (.263, 1 HR, 15 RBI) named one of Simpson U key hitters.

11/07-Congratulations to '08 Paige Gomez! She purchased a package in October '07 and signed with Simpson University in November '07. Simpson University is located in Redding, CA and competes in the NAIA and NCCAA conferences. GO RED HAWKS!
